The hotel is over 100 years old, but the "charm" was more satisfying than a few modern amenities the facility may have lacked. We enjoyed our morning coffee while sitting on the beautiful porch overlooking the Portneuf River. It was fun to soak in the hot pools which are located on the lower level of the building. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room, and it was delicious. Diane, the front desk host, was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at the Riverside again!

Every staff member was friendly and helpful! Beds were comfortable. We ordered appetizers, spin dip, pot stickers, soup and salad and all were very good. Mineral hot springs hot tub comes with your stay. Make sure you take advantage of them, very relaxing!

Ashley at the front desk gave us a cheerful welcome when we arrived and was continuously helpful during our stay. Food and service at both the restaurant and the cafe were excellent. This is an old hotel so expect the kind of quirks you’d find in any historic place. Thirty minute soak in the hot spring-fed spa is complimentary for guests! It was charming!

We love coming to the Riverside Hotel and have for years. Every member on the staff is so helpful, so patient, so kind. David and Ashley on the front desk are so fun and cute. The tall slim fellow that helped us out with our luggage (I’m sorry we didn’t get his name) but the day we got there he was vacuuming the front office area. Then I saw him lugging out several bundles of linen from the hotel to the drop off container for the laundry services to pick up. This man is a “one-man-band”! The homemade cinnamon rolls and bear claws were delicious. Thank you staff-for once again making our stay so relaxing. Jim & Gayla Shupe

We had a wonderful stay. It started when when we checked in. The staff is so friendly. The private hot pools on the property were awesome. The breakfast was delicious - homemade quiche and bearclaws and turnovers. The coffee is excellent too. You can't go wrong. Treat yourself to a stay at the Riverside.

Very nice happy hour and dinner. The hotel mngt appears to be working hard to keep the place nice. Customers need to remember it is a very old hotel so it has its quirks but we very much enjoyed our private hot springs soaks.
