We never saw anyone that worked their but the key was left for us with clear and easy instructions on how to get into our cabin. The cabin was definitely clean and tidy. It did have a kitchenet and bathroom, the bed was a queen and everything was clean. But the cabins are very old and the floors move. They move so much that the toilet rocked when you sat on it. We did pretty much just pass through and the nigh was beautiful and quiet but like I said we never saw an employee and the canib was a bit iffy. But for the price I say it was ok.

The camp manager was extremely rude. This place allows animals but is not Pet friendly. The camp manager started screaming at me to put our service dog on a leash. Extremely unprofessional. For the price the cabins were a great deal. But will not be returning do to how rude the manager was. The restaurant Bartender was amazing and the food was great. Heavily overpriced. $68 for 2 burgers a beer and a soda. The cabins do not have a lake view as advertised

We stayed in the two bedroom unit, and the view was amazing. Needed a bit more updating, but there’s a new owner so hopefully that will happen soon.

The cabins are advertised as lake view. Only one has a lake view, the rest have a view of a row of trailers between the lake and the cabins, there’s a pipe frame shelve along the narrow and only access to the bathroom so anyone over 5 feet tall will walk into it in the dark as I hit my face on it. The advertisement said there was a cooking area but they had what looked like an Easy Bake Oven/toaster oven/ 2 cup coffee pot.

Cabin needs a reading light next to bed cause no tv , to read. Curtains didn’t fully close and people’s were always walking by, couldn’t dress in bedroom, had to go to bathroom

When we arrived, we were assigned a cabin without a stove but the manager quickly rectified it. However, we were only supplied a small saucepan and no cooking utensils. We did have dishes, an oven mitt, one mixing bowl, silverware, and mugs and cups. The shower had 2 settings: ice cold or scalding hot. Not a big deal for me but I was traveling with a toddler and she got burned as the water turned from cold to hot in an instant. There was a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the entrance door. This was of concern to me both for safety and because the cool air went right out it. The playground was poorly kept and the baby swing's buckle was broken. Not a huge deal for my toddler because she knows to hold on but a smaller or less playground experienced child would not be able to safely swing. The slide is from the 80's and got very hot during the day and is at a slope that rocketed my kid down at jet speed. She did hit her head the first time going down so I had to catch her every time after to avoid injury. No other amenities were open besides the horseshoe pit, which was not a good option to play for us. The path to walk and look at the lake was overgrown with poison oak so if you go down there, wear long pants. This is a no smoking or vaping property, period. I didn't know this and had to walk up to the entrance right by the busy road. I had a service animal with me and while I didn't have to pay the nightly price, I did have to pay a cleaning fee. Overall not great, but okay.

Easy self-check in, very clean with full kitchen and coffee. Little outdated but was fine for us. Parking available and coin laundry. I was expecting more of a lakeview, but where the cabins are you don't see it however, a tiny walk and it's right there.

We expected the room to be rustic and small. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The grounds were also very clean and manager was welcoming. The property description said there was easy access to the lake down a short path. But the lake level is very low and the path becomes steep and had a lot of poison oak - no poster warnings- grateful to the hikers that warned me I wouldn’t have known! Please update the property description and put warnings out. The main purpose for having a room is to be able to sleep. The bed was ancient and there was a foam pad on top. This is horrible! We got no sleep and it’s dangerous when we had to drive to the next location. The owners need to invest in this property and upgrade or sell to someone who will. Tons of potential here but no excuses for a bad bed!!!! Asking for a full refund.

When we arrived at our cabin, we saw that the oven and stove were out of service. There was no communication for this and kinda threw off all of our meal prep. The inside was pretty clean. The lake view was ok. But I am upset at the lack of communication especially because the kitchen is advertised in the listing.

The property is very old. The doors and windows have lots of open crevices so bugs can easily come inside. There were tons of spiders actively around the home along with crazy looking centipedes. Nothing poisonous which was good. The back door doesn’t align to the lock so it has to be lifted up so that you can lock the dead bolt. The view is fantastic. I enjoyed the large window door in the mornings to look out at the lake but that was probably the best part. No cooking vent and the windows don’t open so you’d have to open the doors to ventilate. One of the AC units made a very loud noise 24/7. We couldn’t get the hot water to work. I didn’t mind but my child didn’t like taking cold showers. The people at the check in place were never there. A sign was up saying they were out of office. We were looking forward to using their pool since we’ve been to Shasta many times and have seen people in the pool while eating at the restaurant and enjoying karaoke nights back in 2019, but sadly this time there was a sign saying it was closed due to being broken. We were never told and other guests expressed their anger over that fact as well. I’d say it wasn’t worth the price to stay there. I could have stayed at the camp site next to it for $30 a night and had a lake view. Unfortunately Next time I’m sure we will do that. Unless they really put an effort into improving this place. Over $600 for AC usage basically.
