Cheap stay with lakefront view of Lake Tekapo, but has all the necessities you need although the accommodation is small. Beautiful, quiet location. with laundry which was nice for us.
We loved it there. Our kids really enjoyed seeing and playing with the ither kids there. Hot pools etc was just down the road. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Location is amazing! Right by the lake and a 1 minute drive to the hotsprings. Accomodation is decent for the price - it's a backpackers so bit of noise and doors banging etc. But worth the price.
We stayed in family room for one night and it was comfy. Amazing view from the room and facilities are clean. The entire place is fully heated, both rooms and common areas.
Located right in front of the edge of Lake Tekapo, convenient for a stroll down the lake. Well maintained properties consist of several locations within a walking distance from the main reception office.

The place was OK, but beware . . .Forgive me if I missed it, but no where on listing did the room choices mention that the bathrooms, & other facilities were communal. Thus our family room was a single room with a queen bed, 2 bunkbeds, and nothing else. There was heat in the room but no A/C, but it was warm the day we stayed, and even with the sliding door open we could get no breeze. Luckily it cooled down overnight. The queen mattress sagged terribly and my wife and I had a hard time staying on the edges. Finally, when I noticed that my feet where cold I had discovered they short-sheeted the bed! There was no fitted sheet and the bottom regular sheet was just too short.
On the upside the staff were phenomenal, everything was very clean, and the views of the lake were arguably some of the best on the lake.
More of a youth hostel experience. Shared toilets and showers. Very small, cramped room. Common kitchen area had limited dish-ware. About a 10-15 minute walk from town center.
V clean, but a bit too sparse for my liking. Cabin would benefit considerably from small additional touches. Did not have basic facilities like a bed side table or even a chair to sit in. Maybe even a bit of artwork?
It was an unusual property, compared to many that I have booked on your site. It was more of a hostel, and for that purpose it served the guests very well. It was clean, safe, and well appointed. But as a "hotel", it was a little less than we expected. The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, but the bathrooms were seperate and FREEZING COLD. The facility nextdoor afforded good dining, ice skating, and snow tubing. The setting was a beautiful mountains and lakefront view.
