We have stayed here several times and the property is really tired. The building needs a refresh, the stairs need work, there is no air conditioning so the room was uncomfortable in the evening and the breakfast is gone. It's really convenient to the restaurants and Common Beach which is the main thing going for the hotel.

The location and view of the lake from the 7th floor was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was very dissapointing that the level of maintenance was very poor. The room was clean however the curtains were frayed, the wall paper was peeling in many places and the toilet rocked when used. The water pressure in the shower was low and made it difficult to wash the soap out of my hair. I hope they are planning some renovations since it would be a great place to stay otherwise.

The pepper tree has definitely seen better days and is very tired and run down. The property in general is in very poor condition, however my room was clean and the staff were helpful and accommodating. There is no A/C in the rooms.

Expedia info is outdated when I searched up motels. It showed they had a pool, it was filled with dirt, in every aspect of the motel things were deteriorating and they are understaffed. Motel has 2 redeeming things going for it the desk agent Casy was very helpful and the location was convenient

The room was small but clean. But both beds had very old mattresses that were quite uncomfortable.We woke up with backaches due to the mattresses.When we asked the front office to be moved to another room with better mattresses on the beds we were told they couldn’t help us. The location of the hotel was good .It was within walking distance to the lake and restaurants. But unless the property is updated,I would not stay there again.

Disappointing experience, the property was run down and dirty. The small room was clean but the fan was filthy, electrical outlets would not hold plugs, sink drain broken, shower head clogged, no desk light, wall paper peeling and no screen on bathroom window which has to be open for a cross breeze since there is no air conditioning. There is insufficient parking, no daily housekeeping, and most frustrating the office doesnt open until 3 pm. This cost us a day of recreation as we had to wait for an important UPS package, because the office was not open although their website and room card say open 8:00 am -11:00pm. Best part is there was a great view of the lake.
