Room was clean, surrounding area was beautiful. Convenient location. Good shower and TV . Very basic accommodations, not fancy Only complaint is that we would have felt safer with another lock on the door. Only lock was keypad deadbolt, which barely went into the door jam.

We had the most wonderful time at Sara Placid. We got a second floor little apartment with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. I was very clean and had nice furniture. We enjoyed the fact that there was dishes in the kitchen we could use as well. The deck overlooks the lake and we enjoyed having coffee outside. The walk around the property is very pretty and there’s things nearby. The only thing that would improve the stay is the cooling. The cooling unit never cooled the room lower than 72 and we like a cold room. It was also a quiet machine so we went out and bought a fan, we like air and noise to sleep. No tv in the bedroom so we slept in the living room but it was like camping out in our own little room and we had a wonderful time, we definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is in a great location. Right on a lake, which is common in this area, and close to the heart of the town. Our suite had a great picture window that looked right over the little lake out back, very Stephen King.

It was really bleh. I was in room 12, i paid extra for the jacuzzi tub and didn't even use it, it didn't look clean. The bathroom has a lower ceiling, if you're 6' and over chances are you dont fit in the shower. The amenities were bad. The carpet in the room should be removed. If anything ask for room 1 to 11. In 12 you are in a renovated garage, you have two rooms over your head and you are located in the center of a parking lot. I would not book again. The check in is all via texts so thats convenient. You guys should explain how the lock works in the same text that you provide the code number for the door, not in a later text.

I had mixed feelings about my visit to saranac lake but the hotel stay was wonderful. The towels were soft and plushy, linens were comfortable and so was the bed but the pillows could use a refresh. We stayed in a family suite and it definitely had more cabin vibes than hotel/inn. I enjoyed this property so the things I’m mentioning are just to put them out there, they are not complaints by any means. It can be quite loud in the suites- every shower my neighbors took sounded like we were in there and the walls are very thin so even a lot of normal level conversation carried over. If you are very sensitive to sounds and noise keep that in mind and pack earplugs. They had the coolest amenities of anywhere I’ve ever stayed! We didn’t use them but they had 2 e-bikes to loan out. There were also 3 kayaks plus a child’s kayak. I borrowed one to use on the lake and it was wonderful. They are in walking distance of a lot of the town area and definitely biking distance for the rest. I would return here! There is so much of the surrounding area I’d like to see!
