This property is a,very quiet, quaint place to stay with plenty of history. You can walk into Knowlton and enjoy the wonderful village and it's patrons. Once back to the Inn for a very quiet, no road noise rest and relax...I would (hopefully) return.
Lovely old style auberge. So much character. Stairs only, so tough if any mobility issues. Could use new pillows would be my only suggestion. Staff and owners were so lovely.
Close to bike paths and lake. Amazing food.
We came at a quiet time so felt like we were king and queen of the castle. Jacob, who was incredibly attentive was also friendly, helpful and sweet. The Inn has a lovely old-school charm with great food and excellent service.
We loved our stay in this historic inn in one of this historic, scenic, yet still lively small town. The bilingual staff were very attentive and we enjoyed having drinks by the pool. The wraparound porch (used for breakfast) is one of a kind—I wish guests could make use of it the rest of the day. Guests should be aware that the rooms, although comfortable, are small (at least ours was). But you want to be out and about in a town like this, walking, biking, swimming, shopping, dining... All within a short walk from the property.
Lakeview Inn is located 5 min. walk from Knowlton restaurants so everything is at a walking distance - nice. You are stepping back in 1870 in this Inn which is a great experience if you like historic buildings. The room was small but clean and quiet. Amenities are basic with the room we had: toilet, shower, sink, tv, coffee machine (but no fridge). We slept well. The front desk area lady is bilingual, of course, and very friendly and helpful. Note that the breakfast restaurant area is open only starting Thursdays but not earlier in the week. We were able to explore the area via all the bike paths. All in all, a great stay.
Very welcoming, warm and beautiful inn. Just a beautiful charming place w friendly down to earth staff. Hope to visit again soon. Thanks for everything!
This historic inn is exactly what it presents itself to be; it has history & charm, plus it is updated where it needs to be. Lovely, quiet, and peaceful; the grounds are calm and very pretty, the pool is refreshing, the staff are friendly & professional.
This is an awesome place. Victorian decor and well maintained. A really nice place. The owners were great and personable. Lots of places to walk to for food and drink. Definitely going back.
The historic, rambling, quaint inn is perfectly situated in a lovely town. The rooms are comfortable, the public spaces are interesting and the owners are involved and very hospitable.
We had breakfast in the on-site restaurant and aside from it being delicious, we had excellent service.
I would happily stay again in any of the seasons as the community has activities all year round.

Walkable to many coffee shops and restaurants. The new owners are so pleasant and ready to help with anything you need!

The owners are amazing. Need to open the Restaurant. Breakfast was delicious
We had a lovely stay in a hotel that's 150 years old, full of original features that we absolutely loved. The new owners were friendly, attentive, and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the poolside area and having a pre-dinner drink in the charming pub.
Auberge Lakeview Inn is a very nice heritage building in a very nice scenic country like setting, the atmosphere there is quiet and relaxing, the one thing that we felt was lacking in the room was a small fridge, other than that the stay was very pleasant.
This place is a time capsule, and so beautiful and quiet. We came up to escape the noise that is 4th of July in New Hampshire and stayed in a suite with balcony access. What a gem! The innkeepers, too, are treasures.
Beautiful property and great new ownership. Walking distance to the Knowlton Pub, Theatre. Pool was nice and refreshing. One more star for when the Kitchen opens. We will be back.
We loved this historic place, but were sorry to see that it was so empty, with its restaurant closed. We were there mid-week, so believe more people would be there on a weekend. The inn is vast, with well-appointed rooms for guests wonderful common areas furnished in eclectic Victorian style. We enjoyed the easy walk downhill to town and the nearby trail to a beach.
We were there during off season so the town was quiet and the hotel even quieter, but we found the staff charming and full of ancedotes. Because of the season we were upgrated to a small studio.
Room was clean, comfortable. No complaints at all.
Looking forward to returning again.
This is a really cool 150 year old building in the heart of Lac Brome. Like all auberges there are tons of public rooms through the building from a bar to a restaurant to sitting areas and a massive front balcony. It's a five minute walk from some great restaurants and also from the lac brome marina. Rooms are small but nice and clean and have all the features you'd need. We were there one night for a wedding. Would go back and stay several days to enjoy the space and the town.
