“The room and the food were good. But the spa was just so so.”

“Hotel is sparkling clean. Price is reasonable especially during the Saga Balloon Fiesa. If you are planning to go to the fiesta, it only takes 15-20 minutes to arrive the venue by JR.”

“Sehr sauberes apartement sogar mit Waschmaschine”

“This was the perfect onsen for us! Sleek, modern room with everything we needed, gorgeous view of a lake with hills reflected in it. Staff was very good. Japanese cuisine--Shabu shabu (we got fish and beef) was great, so was breakfast. Lots of regional specialties. The hot springs water is really lovely. The pool is only knee deep, but neato, sauna was nice. They really thought of everything! Close to station and a 15 minute train to Kami Arita for pottery shopping. Should have stayed longer.”

“Top notch ryokan experience. The ladies were all so welcoming, helpful, kind, polite, and hospitable. It is an intimate 8 room ryokan, all facing the Karatsu Bay (Sea of Japan). The service is personal because of the small size. You can walk out onto a sandy beach. The two large suites also face Karatsu Castle. We arrived at 4pm and had not ordered dinner. We had even received a confirmation email saying that 3 days notice was required and dinner cannot be ordered upon arrival. Despite...
