“An absolutely incredible hotel set within a stunning forest. You can watch the wildlife from the windows. We saw deer, a fox, birds including woodpeckers, butterflies and stag beetles. The onsen was great, especially the outdoor pool and the food was fantastic”

“This place is being run by slum lords. I do not recommend this place.
They have capitilized on the fact that most people will only stay one night or only go to one ryokan during their japan visit, and will not have basis to compare. We just checked into another ryokan of similar expense, and there is no comparison-this place needs a refit or should close down.
Everything in this hotel is the exact same as it was 50 years ago when they built it-the carpet, the paint, even the japanese hotel...
