The hotel was clean but I wish it were updated. The whole area seemed like everything was original or from the 60s. I understand keeping historical integrity but things should updated. Restaurants and stores were within walking distance which was nice.

The floor in the room made our white socks turn black so we had to keep our shoes on all the time. The staff was friendly and helpful except for the night person that we checked in with. The air conditioner was loud and the toilet had trouble flushing even after being checked. The view of Mt. Rushmore was spectacular.

Had a pretty good room. Ground level. However on the website states continental breakfast and service animals. I didn't bring my dog. And zero continental breakfast. The location was perfect for the local stores, close to Mount Rushmore & Crazy horse. We enjoyed our time, I would just verify from what the website says vrs what the actual is.

The front staff was super nice. The location is great. My only real "complaint" is that the hotel is very dated. I know that isn't really anyones fault and doesn't reflect on the current staff. It just could really use a remodel.

Our room was clean, which is always my most important need. The bed was comfortable, which is 2nd on my needs list. So, a decent room. Our room was in the center of the building by the elevator, so no outdoor access like most of the other rooms, which made it quite stuffy & stale & noisy. I imagine the outdoor access rooms would have a fresher, quieter feel than ours did. The room was outdated for sure, but at least clean. Evening staff and morning staff were both super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Would stay here again, but would ask for an outdoor access room.

Awesome location and really good value compared to everything nearby in Keystone. Like the parking right in front of your room, super close to all the shops & restaurants in Keystone, even a pretty decent view of Mt Rushmore when standing in front of the hotel!
