Shorelands Guest Resort

We had a very nice stay at Shorelands Guest Resort. We were only in the area for one night, but would have liked to stay longer. We had a small room, not a cottage, and it was perfect for our needs.

Great, Cozy taste of Maine

Stayed in newly renovated 2 room cottage (Small Unit H). They did a fabulous job! Charming, comfortable with some very nice add-ons. Definitely a great place at a great price. Some cottages are for sale and this stay peaked my interest

Kan anbefales som landligt feriested.

Stedet var ved et smukt skovområde. En del trafik på vejen udenfor. Dejlig lille pool. Sparsomt med service. Venligt personale. På stranden nær ved store fluer, husk insektspray. Smukke små byer i begge retninger.

Reasonable place to stay, great staff, location.

This is a reasonable place to stay in the area, and the location is good. The staff (especially Shannon!!) are terrific & really try to please. The bed was super comfortable, room was quiet, TV worked fine. Facility dated, but very clean. Some things to know: 1.While this place allows dogs, it's not really "dog friendly." Dogs are not allowed on any common areas, there is no dedicated spot for dogs on the property, no place to wash them off, and you have to go across a busy street, or down the street for your dog to poop/pee. We were given a long list of fines if any of this was disobeyed, including fur on the beds, dog hair anywhere, no washing them in the shower, if they have an accident on the grounds (even if you clean it up) etc. 2.Continental breakfast consists of a plate of blue berry muffins & yogurt, nothing else. Coffee & tea are available. 3.Sheets are changed every 3-4 days. Housekeeping consists of emptying the trash & replacing any towels "left on the floor." They did make our bed 1x when asked. There is a list of charges for extra sheets, bed making, extra towels, extra sheets, etc. 4. Although "free toiletries" is advertised, that consists of soap only. We forgot our shampoo, it was difficult to get any, as they "don't supply it" & it is samples from local hotels. 5.In the room, WiFi worked on my lap top, not on either cell phones. 6.Pool is tiny. I discussed all this with them while staying there.

Stayed in unit#14 the heating was terrible and none in the bathroom at all very cold. Had to pay extra for dogs but had to leave area completely walking down busy hiway in order to go to bathroom. Cottages were dirty and out of date Very dissatisfied

cozy retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It is so close to many fun things to do: local shops, restaurants, beaches, wildlife refuge (salt marshes), kayaking, etc. The price was very reasonable too. We will definitely stay there again !

It was loaded with many bugs as the place was being worked on. Not ready for rental We all had many mosquito bites & a bee sting. I believe the doors had been open for the workers to finish the work. Sorry but it as a great disappointment . Frances Eppich

This was a disgustingly dirty place with trash everywhere. The pictures did not give a true picture of the condition of the facility. It was so bad we refused to stay there. The place had major construction projects underway and it was simply bad business to not be honest about the state of affairs and try to book people to stay there.

Mediocre cabins too close to road. Awful setting.

The inn keeper was very authoritarian with her sweet dog, acted like he was a nuisance and forced and pulled him away from me when I wanted to say hello and pay him some attention. I do not care for people who are rough with their pets. After that she was very unfriendly, made us feel uncomfortable, like we were nuisances too.

Cute cottage a mile away from Kennebunkport Maine

Cute little cottage on Wells/Kennebunk border. 5 minute drive from Kennebunkport. Cheap clean and cozy, Shorelands is a great place for a small getaway from your everyday life to what Maine intended it to be

Comfortable room, great price

Older motel that could use a reno, but it was as advertised. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Loved the location as it was a short drive into the more expensive Kennebunkport and you could walk to a beautiful, peaceful beach. Staff was great, gave good recs for places to visit and eat that were less "touristy"

Satisfactory, relatively speaking

For this price range during the on-season, this place is satisfactory. It's a 10 min walk to the nearby beach which is quite nice. We were hoping to take advantage of the on-site bicycles but they are in serious disrepair (faulty tires, chains, etc) -- a bit of maintenance would go a long way; I would've fixed them myself if I had the right tools. In any case, if you're just looking for a small, cozy place to lay your head, relax, and check out local attractions, it's sufficient.

Wonderful

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Shorelands. It was relaxed, and neither of us had any complaints. The size of the room was perfect for us and we took full advantage of the kitchenette. We LOVED the skylight. The only thing we wished was different was that the pool and hot tub were closed during our stay this June. It was affordable and nice. 5/5 and would recommend for a quiet get away or anniversary! I'm only grading the onsite dining as unsatisfactory because there is none, but there are coffee, muffins, and yogurts in the office!

Best place to Stay!!!!!

I have seen the hard work that everyone has done to those motels and I can say that my family members and I have experienced working for the owner who is also my grandmother. She put all of this effort towards making other's are happy and have what they need and I am happy to say that I am very proud of my grandmother. Her work has led to beautiful results. May all those who stay here have a wonderful time! ich liebe dich (I Love You) Oma!
