“The property is beautiful and well located for visiting Prince Albert. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast is possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel. Overall I would highly recommend De Bergkandt for anyone spending time in the Karoo.”

“We stayed 2 nights in May. The accomodation was comfortable but dark. The food was superb The game drives were great. Wrap up warm on a morning it's cold. The pool was cold so we didn't use it. The sun loungers were comfortable. All staff friendly and the animals were great.”

“It's very quiet, very calm and very well appointed. I had a luxurious chalet with a mini kitchen and fast internet. Do bring food with you as there's not a restaurant at the hotel and you'll have to go back into Carnarvon to eat otherwise - where options are limited. Bring cat treats too if you want to be popular with the feline greeters The host is very welcoming and you'll enjoy seeing the ostriches on this working farm ”

A unique experience staying in a converted shepherds hut, now the honeymoon suite- beautifully converted with plunge pool & the most stunning 360 degree views- also from the shower! So peaceful & tranquil,The owners of Le Petit Karoo really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Beautiful dinner. Amazing value for money & would 100% recommend.
