Very well maintained older building. Nice clean, and very quiet stay. Lots of nice bars, restaurants, breakfast places walking distance from hotel. Outside angle parking available for $8 directly behind the hotel. (I have a 20 foot long vehicle and managed to fit at the end - would be a tight squeeze for a larger vehicle/ truck if there are no end spaces available). Elevator looked to be an antique small (but maintained) elevator with max capacity of four persons… So it was a slow pick up if it was busy, or if dogs or people with walkers or lots of luggage are presently in the elevator. Would stay here again!

Conveniently located in the downtown core. As a historic building, it has a great deal of charm, and two separate pubs are available on premises for your dining desires. Walkable to the downtown shops, and numerous restaurants and bars. The bathrooms are small, but quaint, and the elevator is quite small and slow, so get your exercise and take the stairs!

I'll be blunt, this is very old building with no recent renovations. The roofs and floors are stained and it's the first hotel in a long time where I lifted the mattress to check for bugs. Thankfully there was none. And to be honest most of the linens were reasonably clean and the staff were friendly. But it's obvious this was taken over by foreigners and they are using an old style building and charm, with false pictures online. To lure in the older crowd, looking for a historic feeling experience. if you're cheap, then this is a ok option in the area, but I spent as much time out of the room as possible. It's close to some decent restaurants and the river. I was here for work and only stayed one night, but if you are looking for a vacation spot, cough up some more coin and look elsewhere.

Excellent front desk service/information, parking by hotel. Very friendly & informative waiter in pub restaurant; dinner & dessert were delicious! Considering this hotel is very old, the room bed linens/towels etc were great! The pictures, drapes and woodwork definitely reflect a historic time. If you prefer everything new & up to date, perhaps this hotel is not your preference.
