Hotel is perfectly located next to the sea and the breakfast area is one of the best ones i have seen, with direct view to the port. Personal in the lunch area could be a little more helpful, but the for rest everyone was amazing.

Lovely stay! Staff was super friendly, breakfast and dinner were excellent also, all home made and a lot of variety. We were lucky enough to have a room with a seaside view, we really felt like we were on a boat, amazing! I’d highly recommend this place of you ever go to Kalmar!

Absolutely AWESOME!!! We came for Ironman Kalmar and couldn’t have been taken care of better. The staff bent over backwards to help accommodate our race schedule, meal times and special needs. Only the very best. The food was the among the beat we had in our 2 weeks touring in Scandinavia with such simple and delicious meals that allowed us to enjoy our time instead of always searching for a place to eat and wondering what we would get. The location to the bus station and grocery store and race venue was only the finest. I felt at home surrounded by family. I would give more stars if possible.

We stayed here in September 2025. I loved the historical character of the place. We had a water view, which was amazing. However, our neighbor had his radio/tv up so loud. You could hear it from the hall. We would not have been able to sleep. Both we and the hotel knocked on the door, but no one every answered. So they moved us that night. When we went back the next morning to get the rest of our things out of the original room, the tv/radio was still that loud. To be honest, I am surprised they didn't enter the room to make sure the person was alright. I still gave this 5 stars, because the staff did give us another room (not a water view, but it was still nice). The breakfast and dinner were great and saved us a lot of money. The location is amazing. You could walk to town easily from there. I would definitely stay there again.

The view of the harbor is amazing! The Kalmar Packhuset is a delight in every way enjoyed by Swedish and foreign visitors alike. The breakfast, fika, and evening meals were excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near rail station, central Kalmar, and shopping.

Lovely hotel on the water. Big plus that dinner and breakfast was included. Room had lovely decor and hearing seagulls while drifting off to sleep was lovely. Only downside was that there was active construction at a building across the water that started at 7:30 am. I was up early tho and it was less of an issue than if I had wanted to sleep in.
