This hotel is a gem. It is recently built, so everything is fresh and new. The rooms are clean and modern. They have decent breakfast. The two standout features for me are that they have a coffee machine that freshly grinds the beans, and they have liquid soap in the bathroom, which is a must-have.

Avid was very nice and clean. It was simply a bit too far from the center of Kalamazoo. There was also no microwave in the rooms. However, there was one available to all in the breakfast room. The staff was nice and professional.

The room and lobby space were clean and very colorful. The staff was nice and helpful. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well stocked. The hotel uses Dove products, which was very appealing. Breakfast was included and you could eat inside or outside on the patio. They offered fresh brewed coffee and the option for still or sparkling water. These were great options! My only complaints are the hot water in the room did not get hot enough. Also the breakfast selections were skimpy. The options were so small that they often ran out. Outside of the lack of hot water and the poor breakfast, the room was great.

It was an okay stay. Location was fine and close to the interstate. Room was clean, with vinyl flooring which felt cleaner but was also colder. Continental breakfast was only until 9:30 and then they shut it down. Surprisingly, they offered almond milk with cereals (one being gluten friendly). When supplies got low nearing the end of breakfast they did not refill. You can hear every little sound and all the smells in that hotel.

Clean. New. Easy location. Quick trip and didn’t need a lot of amenities. We didn’t eat breakfast but there were very limited grab and go options. But overall worth the price.
