The staff were lovely and helpful. The decoration was classy Victorian. It is on the main drag of Julian. And the included breakfast was tasty and filling.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gold Rush Hotel while our daughter attended camp nearby. The hotel has a charming historic feel and is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Julian. Our room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located on the first floor, making it easy to bring our luggage in and out. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. The only thing to keep in mind is that the hotel does not have its own parking lot, so parking is on the street. We didn’t have any issues finding a spot during our stay. Overall, it was a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

Right in the middle of all the action. Friendly staff and convenient location. Wish the doors had better locks. Appreciated the delicious breakfast and evening happy hour. Lots of board games and sitting areas to unwind. Parking on the street.

The room was very small but fine for two nights. Breakfast is nice, and the staff runs the small space very efficiently. Street parking wasn't a problem. Interesting historic property, and I got a tour after check-in, including the room where Admiral Nimitz stayed and info about descendants of Ulysses S. Grant in town.

Charming and peaceful. Feels like traveling back to a simpler time. We enjoyed reading books on the patio, playing non-electronic games in the library, and strolling through "downtown" Julian. After all that physical exertion we appreciated the super comfy bed. :-)
