Florida Inn is in a great location in the historic district, within easy walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room did have a noticeable musty smell when we first walked in, which was somewhat understandable given the age and historic character of the Inn, (but the bed was comfortable). There was also live music next door, which we enjoyed, but if you prefer a quieter evening, be aware that the music can be a little loud until around 11 p.m. Other than that, it’s a cute and charming place to stay, especially for first-time visitors looking to experience Fernandina Beach and its historic downtown area.

I loved the history of this property. It dates back to before the Civil War. There are no elevators just stairs so be sure you are able to walk up at least one flight of stairs or more. You can request a room on the bottom floor. The breakfast was wonderful with seating inside or outside. I will stay again if in the area.

Expect an old building. They claim to be the oldest continually operating inn in Florida. The staff was great the location couldn't be better in the middle of Fernandina Beach. The breakfast was great.

**budget friendly** if that’s your goal for Fernandina. Was just okay. Being a Bed & Breakfast, I was looking forward to what I thought would be a farm-style or family-style breakfast. It was basically a continental breakfast with no meat. The only protein being eggs (maybe real) and prepackaged yogurt. Room was fine, bed was comfortable, slow draining sink you’d expect with such an old property. A little too much light coming in from outside and the hallway at night but I’d stay again in a pinch.

I really enjoyed staying. We had been to place before for a family brunch on around 30 people. We loved the place so the next time I came to town and saw it available I grabbed it. I like they have their own parking available as street parking in old town is all pay to park. I enjoyed the Green Turtle live music next door. Rooms were quiet and a/c sufficient for this Alaska guy w temps in the 80s. I’ll be back. Great staff and service. Thx

This is a historic wooden inn. Which means things will be quirky, but full of character. Be aware the single pane glass and wood walls means sound travels- like from the band next door at the green turtle. The bed was cozy, the courtyard cats were friendly and the hostess made delicious breakfast. Parking onsite was super convenient because the whole downtown was walkable

The room was clean and convenient location to shopping and restaurants. Great hot shower and charming decor. However, the upstairs balcony could use some much needed repairs. Broken rocking chairs and benches sitting around seemed unsafe. The flooring needs resurfacing and paint. Outside the property just needs sprucing up. The self serve breakfast was good. However, if you didn’t get right in there food was gone and no one available to bring out more.

I really enjoyed this stay a great deal and would stay there again given the opportunity. The hotel is 169 years old, is a historic landmark, and history seems to come alive in the place. Due I think to the holiday weekend, the staff were difficult to get on the phone for questions; but they were very helpful and friendly when I finally got them. Location was excellent, with easy walking access to many downtown restaurants and shops. Due to its closeness to bars, there was the sound of music until 10 or 11o'clock, but I did not find it bothersome, although some might. The only drawback I really felt to be problematic was lack of handicap access - but for a hotel built in 1857, I can't image how modern standards could be obtained without demolishing and rebuilding a large part of the structure, and that would defeat the purpose of maintaining historic buildings. Finally, I'd recommend them to all travelers; singles, couples or families.

The property is very nice and well situated in town. Breakfast was nice and the bar next door was fun. While I understand it is old and maybe difficult to handle certain aspects, the musty smell and apparent mold in the bathroom was unpleasant. However maybe this isn’t the case in the newer rooms.

Very nice. Considering this is a historical building and old, everything was great and the staff is really kind and considerate. The place overall has so much charm. We loved hanging out in the parlor. The “small breakfast” was perfect and delicious! My only request is they replace the mattress in room 9. Already talking about going back!
