Given I booked a standard economy room, the view was a brick wall. They also don’t provide things like comb or vanity kit. You’d need to pay for an adapter and there’s no pool. Another thing I wasn’t happy with was the breakfast area. You’re only allowed to sit outside with the view if you’re drinking or smoking sheesha. I literally chose this hotel because of the view and location and was very disappointed from that part. Other than these points it is a good pick, pretty expensive but great in terms of security and location.

I booked this hotel for our wedding night and had communicated with the hotel management in advance to make the occasion special with some simple decorations. Unfortunately, despite our prior communication, nothing had been arranged when we arrived, which was quite disappointing given the importance of the occasion. The suite room itself was very clean and comfortable. However, the overall service experience was not what I expected. Some of the staff members were not particularly friendly or welcoming, and at times their attitude came across as rather rude. Although we had already paid for breakfast, when I asked whether breakfast could be served in our room, the receptionist informed me that there would be an additional charge of €20 per person. I found this surprising, especially since breakfast was already included in our booking. I was also disappointed to be charged 300 TL for parking after leaving my car on the hotel premises for only around 10 minutes. The breakfast itself was also quite average, with limited options and not much variety. Overall, while the room was clean and pleasant, the service, additional charges, breakfast, and lack of attention to our wedding-night arrangements made the experience disappointing. Considering the amount we paid, I do not feel the stay offered good value for money.

This is my 3rd time in CVK Taksim, and I'll keep staying in this hotel everytime I visit Istanbul. Everything is perfect, clean rooms, nice view, delicious breakfast, kind staff (Burak from reception). Special thanks for Umran, he is always helpful and smiling, super kind and help from his heart with any request.

If you’re reading this, you may think that this is a fake review. I assure you that it is not. It has been such a great day that I’m going to give you the full story. We were met at the door by a huge smile from the doorman Kutay. The type of smile that is immediately welcoming and he was very helpful. We got to the reception and another big smile from Ali who was amazing with his help with giving food recommendations as well as how to get around easier. We had a square facing room with views of the Mosque and Church which for someone who has been to 88 countries and all 7 continents, one of the best hotel views I have ever had (pictures below) the breakfast on the top floor also gives full panoramic views from the Bosphorus all the way across the city. The breakfast staff are so nice and the food is great (honey on the comb is delicious). On some other occasions we had to ask the front reception for help and Umar was our man. Very helpful, was happy to help, and we are truly grateful. You want to talk about hospitality 10/10, location 10/10, Staff 20/10, rooms 10/10. This will be the only hotel I ever stay at when I come back to Istanbul and they have rightfully earned my business and my recommendation for a lifetime.

Great hotel in Taksim Square

CVK Taksim Hotel is right in the centre of Taksim Square, great location. We went in a hot July season. The hotel is in great condition, room was modern and clean, air conditioning was great. Daily cleaning was great. Metro and bus stops are all nearby and walking distance.

Location is great. However staff needed to be trained to accommodate foreign visitors better. They don’t use “Please” when you suppose to follow direction. Odd. But a bit cultural shock! I’ve felt due to language barrier they do have an unfriendly tone of voice and get upset so quick. They offer luxury transportation from Airport to the hotel for 80 Euros that you can go with taxi at 1/4 of the price while there is no luxury service associated with it. The car just a big van with fancy lighting. The driver even don’t help you to take your stuff to the entry of the airport. They just drop you off and give your luggage and bye bye. I felt its a rip off. Staff are friendly. Location was great. Breakfast ok but nothing special. Location is the key.

Writing I had a wonderful stay here with my daughter. The location is excellent—very close to the metro and buses, making it easy to get around Istanbul. Istiklal Street is just across the road, which was incredibly convenient for shopping, restaurants, cafés, and exploring. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be a great choice for its location and convenience. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul, especially families.
