“Come and enjoy proper hospitality in a proper hotel with wonderful people. Just like it used to be before life was overtaken by digital awfulness. If you want room service ordered through your TV then stay away. Sensational breakfast (that can also serve as lunch and beyond). Our second visit since 2022, the hotel holds a special place in our lives.”

“Perfect place to stay in the quiet and laid back village of Dounby as it is close to a lot of archeological sites which are about 10 to 20 minutes away in every direction. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great food as well. Spacious parking in the back. There is a gas station and a market across the street so you don’t have to worry about driving too far to refuel and get food. This place will be my go-to the next time I travel to Orkney Islands!”
