Gothic in the tropics. Very moody and atmospheric styling. Plus; outside my room there is a great looking statue of a whale shark! Bonus :) Room is very clean. Breakfast buffet is great and clean! Staff are super friendly and helpful. One area that can be better cleaned is the fitness center. It’s fabulous that it is 24hrs available, but here is a tip: Add some disposable alcohol wipes and this will make the experience better and 5 stars!

Beautiful room and cafe. Free welcome drink, free breakfast and 1 free high tea. Staff are courteous and professional. It has a gym too. Easy and short drive to most parts of Ipoh.

Excellent with nice breakfast

Overall excellent stay, service was very good, complimentary free breakfast taste better than the other branch love it! Like the bread served as it’s not the basic white bread loaf. Thank you and will be back again!

I had a great stay here, but my family had mixed reviews. The lighting within the hotel room was very warm but extremely dim and eery, and hence not exactly very kids friendly. The suite i booked could house 6 and had 2 stories with a flight of stairs in the middle. It creaked so loud everytime someone climbs up or down the stairs which again could be freaky at night.

Everything about this hotel is awesome. Except for.... you must make sure you tell the Grab driver the correct hotel. There are 2 locations of 1969s. lol.... I booked the wrong one and went to the wrong one. They are so nice that they helped me transferred my room to the correct location from the incorrect one.

It was great! Newly opened with impressive design and service level can be comparable with 5 star hotel. Highlight was a quality breakfast offered in the bakery next to hotel. (probably under same management). Stronly recommend to visit. I also would like to visit again. Simply, more than value for money.
