Staff was great! Friendly and informative. When we checked into our room it had a mildew smell. It was clean but there were air fresheners and an air purifier plugged in to try to mask the smell. There was a giant spider on the bedskirt that we were luckily able to catch and kill. Bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. There was the ice machine outside our door that was extremely loud when in use. Was woken up by train horns. Didn’t sleep too well. The free breakfast the next day didn’t appeal to us. Would look for a place in Mason City next time rather than stay here again.
