Lovely clean rooms and bar area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to local amenities , with lots of nice eating and drinking places to hand. Had a great room with view of river and castle which was a pleasant upgrade. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Nice 3 star quality clean and well located hotel. Front desk help is good but takes a while and there is not a concierge for help. It would be good if top sheets were included in the bed makeup as the rooms tend to be on the warmer side and the large comforters are too much. Wash cloths are included by request only. Upon requesting a top sheet and wash cloths I was met with a friendly response and quick delivery. There are no refrigerators in the rooms.

The hotel is very pretty and well situated in town right on the river. Our rooms were as described however; the ventilation in the room was insufficient. We visited in July and even with the fan on, windows open, the room was very warm and stuffy. We ordered drinks at the bar and service was rather slow (even while the bar was not full of patrons). Service at the front desk and around the property were otherwise very friendly and helpful.

The best hotel on our Scottish travels. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. My wife who is not very mobile found movement around the hotel excellent for her needs and staff helped in ensuring diable parking available Dinner and breakfast service and food choices also excellent.

3rd visit to The Palace, and again such a lovely experience. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed in the adjacent building, which was lovely with Castle view.
