Breakfast situation horrible

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Although an older property, the rooms were extremely clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was fantastic! Employees were extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. The hotel restaurant had a delicious breakfast, which we ate every single morning. The hotel is also in a fantastic location close to Larimer Square, the arts building, and all that downtown Denver has to offer. I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Teatro!

Our home internet went down Friday afternoon just before Labor Day weekend. Custumer Service said they could not get a Tech out to fix it until Tuesday due to the holiday. It has already been a stressful week and rather than spend a three-day weekend home with no internet I decided to book a room at a nearby hotel. The Boulderado had last minute availability so we threw some stuff in a bag and drove over. We had never stayed here before but were immediately impressed by how charming yet grand it is. Our room in the new wing was very nice and clean with a large bathroom and sliding door with a Juliette balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard with a fountain. There are lots of really great restaurants nearby but honestly the food and service at both the bar and Spruce restaurant in the hotel was the best! We had brunch and dinner at the Spruce. All of the front desk staff, servers, valets, and maids were so friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. They even invited us back for Christmas! Several friends have said they go all out with really beautiful decorations and traditions. We can't wait to go back again!

We tried to check in at 4:00pm and there was no one in the office to check in. Several young employees were walking back and fourth trying to clean the rooms. This was our 40th Anniversary we were looking forward to this small get away. There was about 6 people also waiting out front to check in. The restaurant was closed also . We finally went to office door and it was unlcoked but no one came out to let us know . There was young man on the phone. We all finally went in and it took almost an hour to let us us know that the rooms were not ready. I understand things happen but then we finally got our room at 6:00pm. We would of understood if someone informed us two hours before what was the hold up and then we could of went somewhere. No communication at all! We then went to have dinner and drinks at the restaurant and there was 4 employees working and not one employee came over. We finally walked out after 20 minutes. There was three employees and one was on his phone and totally ignored my husband when he went up to the bar to order us drinks. The office man gave us two free drinks coupons when we checked in and we never even got to use. We drove down to a casino for dinner at 8:00pm. The room was clean and nice but the communication was horrible and hard to be positive when no one would talk to us. It is a nice place but they need to practice what is promised on the Nest Sight.
