The room was really small (although I was expecting that) but it was good for an overnight stay and really worth it for access to the lagoon pool which I'd been wanting to go to for ages since it opened.

Walking distance from the airport, however I did find it hard to get to as the signage was very limited. Good place to stay when your flight arrives either late at night or early in the morning.

Great stay right next to the Airport. Room was small but perfect for an over night stay before the flight. Free transport to the airport. Only downside was google maps needs updating. It took us to a very shady area that was no where near the hotel.

A/c was great in the bedroom. We slept well and it was very hot outside. Pools were great fun and plenty of sun beds. Bar next to pool served food which was ok. Check in is not well explained beforehand. One reception desk for 4 different hotels. Clever concept but mighty confusing if you are just off a long flight or like us a very long car ride in the heat ( 41°) Once we did figure it out, with the help of some helpful members of staff, the bedroom was tiny. 2 adults, 2 suitcases and hand luggage. You really do need more floor space in this day and age.

Make sure the phone in room 513 is working!

My room 513 ground level had a comfy bed to relax and zzzleeep at night. I was happy with that and the complimentary tea coffee etc was great to. Swimming in the pools was refreshing & great enjoyed! The only thing that didn’t work was the phone in room 513 to ring reception for enquires and the walk to receptionist was a long way to enquire about an issue or a little question wanting answered.

Hard to find location and average accommodation

Warning: The location that shows on Google Maps is NOT the location of the hotel. Google Maps took us 10mins drive away from the airport to a drop in centre, which felt quite unsafe at midnight when our plane landed. Apple Maps correctly shows the location as being the same place as the Mecure and Novotel, right at the airport. There are NO SIGNS for the Ibis - you have to go to the Novotel/Mecure reception to check in. After we finally found the hotel, things picked up. The Novotel, Mecure, and Ibis all share the grounds and I guess the difference is the rooms themselves. Ours smelled musty and was pretty small (I barely fit between the bed and the wall) but it was fine for our purposes - we were only in Darwin for 24hrs. The airconditioning was excellent. The hotel breakfast was definitely not worth $30 but it was convenient to grab a bite to eat before heading out for the day. The bar area near the pool was very nice, with separate smoking and no smoking areas and good service. We got slushies to cool down in the Darwin heat. I wouldnt stay here again, but it was fine for the quick trip we had.

The location is good if you want to get to airport quickly but the lack of cost effective and efficient shuttle service to city was disappointing. For a longer stay (over 2 days) I would not stay here.

Couldn't believe how expansive and well laid out the property is. Pool wonderful! Splash kitchen beautiful. Darren (airport extractions at 1am particularly helpful) staff at that time were welcoming and humorous even when I acted as a "tryhard"! Will definitely stay again or promote to my friends.

This is a solidly three-star hotel. It's clean and convenient to the airport and that's all it has going for it. We got there after midnight and were left to find our own way to the building/room in the dark. Not great.
