They were able to accommodate last minute booking either a very good rate for the size of the room. This place was honestly perfect for 3 of us traveling with 2 dogs in 1 room- spacious really clean very dog friendly though you couldn’t tell there were any dogs prior to us or around the hotel. Antique warehouse is right behind the hotel, train station a minute walk and everything else in easy walking distance. On site restaurant though we didn’t take advantage of while we were there. All in all I’d definitely use this as a regular hotel for Hudson trips.

The room was spacious and very clean, as was the bathroom. The room also had a large comfortable sofa. We were unaware that the room was in the basement level, so natural light was limited to large window wells. I would book upper level rooms next time. The staff was excellent; helpful and friendly. We had breakfast in the cafe which had a fairly small menu, but the food was fresh and very good.

Very friendly staff and beautiful hotel. I appreciate the small touches like fresh flowers in bud vases throughout. There is always lemon water available. The breakfast is delicious. It’s just a nice place with a nice vibe.

cleanliness was excellent. I stayed in a room without a window. There was a window high in the ceiling that was covered and you could not open it. I found it odd to stay in a room without a window visible. Next time I will make a request to have a window I can see out of.

Disappointing stay in a stylish building with a serious noise problem We stayed two nights at The Wick, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Hudson. The building is a converted candle factory — a nice piece of history and a promising concept. We’d heard positive things and decided to give it a try. The good: We requested an upper-floor room and the staff accommodated us without issue. Check-in was smooth. The issues: Unfortunately, several things quickly fell short. · On entering the room, there was a noticeable musty odour. · The bathroom door wouldn’t close fully — a basic functionality problem that shouldn’t exist in a hotel of this category. · Most significantly, train horns began sounding every hour from around 4 a.m. onward. I’m a light sleeper, and the noise made rest impossible. This wasn’t mentioned at check-in, nor did I recall seeing it flagged in reviews prior to booking. For anyone sensitive to noise, it’s a deal-breaker. Overall: Everyone’s idea of a superior stay differs, but for us this hotel didn’t deliver. The combination of a musty room, a faulty bathroom door, and disruptive early-morning train noise made it a one-time experience we can’t recommend.

What a great place to stay! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Convenient to the Amtrak station. Loved having the restaurant on site with good food and drink! Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Only issue would be the train whistle that goes off from time to time until midnight but earplugs helped with that. A total surprise! would stay again

Quaint boutique hotel 5 minute walk from train station. Attentive staff, clean rating good. You can walk into the town center although we would suggest you drive
