Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Only downside was we were in the room right next to office and front side of hotel (1st floor) and it was kind of noisy with doors and people/voices outside and such. Otherwise great stay!

My husband and I booked a king room at Independence Stay in Houghton for one night. We were very surprised at the size of the room; it looked like a little apartment with a full kitchen and dining area, 2 closets, a desk area and a large bathroom. It was one the cleanest and freshest smelling hotels we’ve ever stay. The shampoo, conditioner and soap lathered so well and smelled so good.
