A very nice hotel in a great location. Close to the port, however be prepared for a steep climb or a 15 min walk around. The staff were awesome and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. The dinner buffet was also good, but make a reservation. The pool area and bar/restaurant were excellent. Joao was very nice and courteous.The cons are the beds..... Extremely hard and firm... A/c in the rooms is not good either.Not enjoyable. We were a multigenerational family of 6. Seniors to teenagers.

Had ocean view room - rooms were big and spacious for a family of 4 with teenagers. Amenities were older. We enjoyed the watching the World Cup soccer game on the big screen in the common area. Google maps walking path is longer way than short cut up steps from main street on the waterfront.

First of all the service was very great, friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast was very complete and the service super attentive at every moment. The room itself was not well maintained, old-fashioned and the facilities not what we expected from the photos. It was clean but if a place isn’t maintained you can’t clean certain things anymore properly. The location was very central and the parking lot a plus.

Room was nice, with the exception of our queen bed being two pushed together singles (two separate covers also…). Nice view from hotel. Great location and very central. Amenities look great but are terrible. Cold, moldy indoor pool with cockroaches. Hot tub was barely even warm. Sauna broken. Steam room cold and smelt of mold.

Clean decent rooms, good service and some nice facilities. Nice place to relax in Horta. But: The breakfast should be improved (coffee is terrible), there is no tennis court as advertised, the gym is terribly warm, the steam sauna smells of mold and the bar area is uncomfortably warm.

We had a lovely stay at the Azoris Faial Garden hotel. Fabulous views of Pico island and lovely hotel grounds. Food was very good, plenty of choice at breakfast and all food clearly labelled for allergens. The only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The hotel is a lovely property, the pool is fantastic with a beautiful ocean view, and the complimentary breakfast is high quality with many choices. The rooms are a bit dated with quite firm beds, but are otherwise comfortable. The location is excellent with an easy walk to the city center.
