“El personal fue muy amable, ubicación excelente para visitar Highclere Castle, el verdadero Downton Abbey. Desayuno espectacular.”

“Cosy, warm room with very comfortable bed. Fresh milk and a coffee percolator as well as a kettle were a bonus. We enjoyed our stay and would use the pub again if we were in the area. Very attractive pub downstairs.”

“Beautiful country pub type hotel. Quaintand very tastefully presented. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. If i have any negative it is minor. The windows were not double glazed and neded a bit of paint. Otherwise excellent”

“Everything was perfect! We really enjoyed our time there!”

“We were looking for an overnight stop travelling back North from Southampton and came across here. There was a big extension being built to the front of the pub so parking was difficult but otherwise caused no inconvenience. We had 3 rooms and all were very comfortable and well equipped . What stood out about this place was the staff, all were genuinely lovely and friendly. Checked in and personally shown to our rooms. We ate at the pub and the food was quickly served and was simply delicious...

“Wonderfully comfortable garden rooms. Staff were very helpful. Food was excellent. Will definitely return 🙂”

Room was very clean, stocked with tea and coffee and the extra pillows in the wardrobe was a nice addition. Overall, we had a very peaceful, relaxing stay.”

“The room clean and comfortable, food was real my good. The people that work there were so nice! They really know how to man you feel at home!”

“My second stay here and it surpassed the high bar set by my previous stay. Got checked in by the manager who had just started there. I got a really nice room with a very high finish in décor which instantly put me in a relaxed mood. After finishing my admin, I went on the same 1 hour walk using the same route which takes me through the town centre. It is such a lovely town to walk around. The shower was amazing and allowed me to settle in for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was so much better...
