The Elvetham Estate Hotel is a beautiful 19th century 4,000 acre property tucked away in the countryside of Hampshire, England. We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Main House in a beautiful room with amazing views of the property gardens. This was the perfect place to spend a night or two before you begin or end a trip to Europe. It is half way between London's Heathrow Airport and beginning a cruise from the port of Southampton. The overnight stay at the Elvetham Hotel presented friendly staff, amazing accommodations, magical ambiance, delicious meals, and special memories to cherish.

Without doubt the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The grounds are spectacular, the rooms were lovely, beer was crisp and cold, and breakfast was perfect. The staff were just fabulous, kind and attentative. We won't hesitate to book again when we are next down south!

Great hotel - beautiful gardens, great staff and very reasonably priced for what you get. Only criticism is the staff seemed quite stretched whilst also taking it in their stride so it meant occasional waits. Also no A/C on hottest weekend of year. Overall fantastic stay, would come back.

It's a nice country hotel with alot of very interesting history. The main mansion building is stunning and well looked after and the grounds are lovely for a walk in the sunshine. Things to note, there is no swimming pool, if it had a pool this would be an amazing hotel. Dogs are allowed but you are not allowed to stay with them in the main house. You have to stay in the not so glamorous stables block. Also you cant eat indoors with them expcept in the bar area. The food was pretty good. We had a set menu for dinner because we had a deal. Whilst we all enjoyed it, it was nothing to write home about. Service was ok and in general the staff were pleasant. It's a lovely old hotel in such amazing grounds but it's not quite 5 star.

This is a gem of a hotel. We stayed from Sunday until Tuesday on half board and enjoyed great food, excellent customer service and a wonderful deluxe double room in the main building facing the lawns. Full of history, the hotel provides a free audio tour. There is also an exclusive 5k walk around quiet country lanes and fields and bluebell woods. The manager is a fountain of knowledge of the history of the building.
