The rooms are really decrepit…walls need painting…my bathroom was from the 60’s…stained basin and cracked floor tiles….did not go to the Troppo restaurant as it looked pretty dark…walls very thin…could hear the guy snoring next door…band at the bar plays late…till 2am ….only redeeming quality is the pool…staff are nice and very helpful….instead of putting money into building new restaurant and reception area spend it on remodelling the rooms

This is a central hotel, just a short walk to the city center. It's build on a hill, so the funniest is to take a cable car to go to your room. The hotel was under refurbishment during my stay, they are building a new reception, saloon, restaurant, bar, etc. But I was doing sightseeings every day, so I heard no noise. My room 601 was big, with a city view, with refrigerator, micro, TV, and water boiler. My room was clean, the staff was nice, and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom is old, but I had hot water. I liked to stay at this hotel. The restaurant serves delicious meals, the food was really good and tasty. Friday night they have cultural dance show. It was super cool!

Very average hotel, I d give it a 2 star, but it has a nice pool, no gym, lots of loud construction work outside on premises. main issues: no water in the room and no free wifi in the room as opposed to what's advertised, so I had to demand wifi codes each day and ask for water to be provided. Room was clean with working aircon, towels were not changed. on top of that it's not a cheap room, but the quality is below average.

The rooms are clean and enjoyed hot water for a shower. Walking distance from the wharf and cafes. The hotel needs maintenance- our toilet seat was broken. The cable car also needs the control buttons inside the car serviced.

Cheap and cheerful with good food

We stayed for 4 nights. The place is more cheap and cheerful than luxurious, but the bed was comfy and the room was adequate for our needs. A few things needed fixing, but they gixed them quickly. And the food was really good, especially the wood-fired pizza.
