we stopped here for the night on our way to northern michigan from chicago. room was clean, location was very convenient, and the room was a good size. breakfast was also surprisingly yummy! a great choice for an overnight stay or short trip. our dog loved it

Very clean everywhere! Hot tub and pool were excellent. Pool was heated to about 85 degrees. Breakfast was minimal. No eggs both morning we were there. They could at least have had hard boiled eggs. Every employee was very helpful.

They were going through renovation so it’s a little tricky to give them an excellent, but our room was clean and when we asked for anything they willingly helped. The breakfast was wonderful and is maintained by a wonderful woman, who also was training in someone and is an excellent trainer.

The property was in a state of remodel. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The carpet and flooring was needing to be removed. It was not very clean and could tell it would be better but was very poor to stay in.

When we were checking in the staff advised not to keep my room key near my phone due to the door key card system being so antiquated it would erase the key card the carpet is outdated and dirty the bathroom made me think twice about showering due to the amount of rust around the drain the pool and hot tub had a lot of dirt on the bottom not what you would expect from a indoor facility the breakfast that was included well let just say I stuck with the bagels the highlight of my stay was at least the bed was comfortable

Our room was clean as were all other areas. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. We would like to especially mention Lein. She was very welcoming and helpful. The property is currently under renovation as of 9/2026. So there were construction materials around the outside of the building and in some of the interior areas. They did not impact our safety in any way. But, were a bit of an eyesore. We do wish there would have been more towel bars in the room. There were very few spaces to hang towels. The hotel was very quiet. The extra fee for our dog was expected and seemed a fair amount. Breakfast was the usual fare for a 3 star hotel. Overall, we would stay again. It was a nice experience.

This hotel is our family’s usual place when traveling to Holland, Michigan. We love everything about—from the room itself, the staff, the complementary breakfast, the outdoors and the pool area. However, this trip wasn’t as pleasant during our stay at the hotel due to the out-of-order pool/hot-tub. Overall, it was a nice stay and would recommend to anybody!

Unlike some reviews that I read, we didn’t experience an uncleaned room. Our room, and every where we witnessed in the hotel appeared to be clean. The male with the pink curly ish hair who check us is wasn’t the most pleasant worker, but he wasn’t rude I guess. He didn’t make eye contact nor did he seem friendly. But the female we had in the morning was so friendly and kind to all. The pool didn’t seem to be heated. But it wasn’t too cold. Breakfast included was good. Outside could use a little updating but it wasn’t terrible.

The other reviews summarize this hotel pretty well. It’s not very clean nor modern. Our room floors had lotsa debris scattered across the floors. Not been vacuumed in awhile. When opening the faucets to run water black water came out. But after running it was ok. There were other inconveniences not worth mentioning as some of these were just par for the course for traveling. The place was convenient for Holland restaurants as well as our soccer tournament. The place was loaded with kids and the staff was a bit overwhelmed. But despite the crowded hotel the staff was very nice and cordial they get a 5 star rating. So if you want to spend a night and not a fortune this is the place just don’t have high expectations. Hotel 2.5 rating at best.
