“We really liked everything about the Ollerod. Two thirds of our breakfasts were provided by Julie, who was so nice. We enjoyed chatting with her about the local area. The food was good and set us up for our busy days. We met Kim in housekeeping one day when we stopped by midafternoon. Our room was always spotless and looked as if we had only just arrived. The staff at the front desk were helpful and accommodating. One gentleman even arranged to have housekeeping launder a few shirts for...

“A beautiful location. Spotlessly clean and we wanted to stay longer. Thank you for meeting us and making us feel welcome. Carl and Jo”

“While the stay was just ok, I was disappointed with the support from the hotel team in getting good wifi in room 20. The mobile network was patchy in this place, and on top of that, the wifi in the room was on and off. It disrupted my planned work. Reporting this to the staff did not help. This place would be my last choice next time.”

“The breakfast was superb. It was so nice having a breakfast that was individually cooked and delivered to the table hot. The property is old and the floor in my room was at a slight incline. Not a problem at all but I did describe it as being like the house in the film of The Ladykillers - and that is with total affection as I love that film. Ate in the restaurant on one evening - good food and a good price. Would recommend!”

“What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The air conditioning was a real bonus, although unfortunately it did drip a little water on the floor. My only other niggles...

“The pub is set in a beautiful village and is old and quaint. It has s very close to Ham Hill Country park. It has a large bar area with lots of unique table spots to relax in. There is also a garden which I didn't use but looked nice from the window in my room. There is a campsite which is well appointed and great for a campervan stopover which is what I originally planned to do. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The menu and specials offered a wide range of food and all of our party...

“Lovely staff.”

“The agree to give us a late check out, and when we arrive the have taken all our things and put them in a store, and a simple sorry, mistake was made! Terrible service ”

“Nice good sized room and very clean. Great staff and a good selection of food.”

“Ok room for one night. Mid October with 4 degree outside temperature but no heating on. No instructions on heating but seems to be centrally controlled. No thermostat in room. Towel rail switched on and radiator thermostat up to max but still no heating. Very cold. Did not sleep properly. Irritating green safety light in ceiling also kept me awake. .”

“Very tasteful selections for breakfast with an elegant presentation— history abounds in this small inn- lovely!🇨🇦”
