The room was clean and a good size, with it's own bathroom. The shower was fine and the bed comfortable. The location is great for the beach and restaurants, and not very far from either a bus stop or the train station - certainly within a short, cheap ride by tuktuk if you're too lazy or laden to walk. The only downside was the noise from the train and baying dogs, both of which didn't bother me at all - it was actually rather entertaining to be close to the train track.

fantastic

This is a lovely family owned guest house with clean rooms, good food, and amazing hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. I am frequently in Hikkaduwa and every time I book here without hesitation. Highly recommend it. The only downside is it is right near the train tracks and you will be waken in the morning by the whistles and rush of the train going by- but if you're an early bird or get back to sleep it's totally worth it.

Sehr gute Lage abseits der Hauptstraße und in der Nähe des Strandes. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Zimmer absolut sauber. Leckeres Frühstück. Gelegentlich etwas lauter durch vorbeifahrende Züge.
