“Great Location”

“My husband and I stayed two nights in June while exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The location is excellent, in a quintessential Dales village, with a number of fun shops and eateries. The room was simply furnished but perfectly adequate. Be aware there are a number of steps, and the tub/shower is deep to step into, so not a good choice if you have accessibility issues.”

“Booked for a wedding but on the morning of the wedding there was no hot water to get a shave or shower but what made it worse was that there was no communication from the staff and no apology offered or compensation from management”

“We had a nice stay here. The only bug bear was that there was not much fruit at breakfast. I do not eat fry ups in the morning. The only fruit was apples. Maybe a dish of mixed fruit or bananas would have been nice. The staff were really pleasant and the hotel itself was fine for our 2-day stay. The bedroom could have been a little bit more updated, paint off in most places, the en-suite was old fashioned, could be done up more modern really.”

“Clearly there’s a leadership issue at this hotel. The Staff were nice but clearly not well trained or motivated. Long check in line with no other staff available or skilled to attend the other checkin counter. An elderly couple needed help with bags but none of the Staff around offered. Same for us when leaving no one helped. There seems to be around 100 doors along each corridor which require manual open … why ? Bad for clients with bags but poor cleaning staff. Old smelly carpets. Dirty...

“Lovely room. Great bar area & restaurant”

“Lovely hotel / pub in a very scenic location. Beautiful views. We had 2 cottages for our extended family group of 7 adults/ 4 children. Spent the afternoon enjoying the patio drinks and watching the water flow. Had a delicious Sunday dinner in the lovely upper dining room. Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed . Would definitely stay again .”

The food was excellent and the dining room service was excellent…..evening meal and breakfast. The views were incredible, the location was beautiful.
