The gardens and guest house are so charming. Brant was a great host, very helpful for my first visit to Hermann. The attic room was a great value for a solo traveler, and the bed was super comfortable. Central location makes everything very walkable.

Amazingly clean room, very friendly staff, and pet friendly place! The convenience of being downtown, but not close to any busy streets was great! This tastefully remodeled historic home was a excellent place to stay. From the moment we reserved a room to after the moment we checked out, the staff of the Captain Wohlt Inn did a wonderful job making sure all was taken care of. I can't thank them enough for contributing to an amazing weekend in such a historic town. I will definitely return in the future, no doubt! (The cookies they hung on the door at night were an awesome added touch. So much so, that we asked for more!)

The grounds around the property needed some maintance: back- side & front yard had piles of construction materials and old chairs / lumber & old materials just piled up. The front porch needed cleaned off. The front room carpet was all stained and not very inviting. The bedroom i stayed in was perfect! Very clean and nice!

No problem with Captain Wohlt’s although I did find out that the rooms are spread around town a little. Our room was about 2 blocks from the check in office. Different, but not an issue. The location was within easy walking distance of the downtown area and Missouri River, and the room parking is immediately adjacent to the house we had a room in. Rooms are refurbished, clean, with good amenities. “Captain Wohlt” himself is quite nice and accommodating.
