self check in was so easy room was modern and very clean nothing was to much trouble for the staff the grounds were very well kept the abbey is Beautiful we will Definitely be booking to stay here again
Clean and modern room in a lovely peaceful location. Check in and communication was excellent. Will definitely stay here again when visiting next time.
We really enjoyed our short stay here. The accommodation is immaculate. Such a lovely peaceful environment to stay. I would definitely recommend this stay to friends and family.
It was a lovely stay. Nice people all around. Good ambience and very peaceful. Better place with a big garden around. Good for summer stay. Definitely recommend.
A wonderful stay in historic grounds with Abbey views. Enjoyed the sound of the bells ringing. Well provisioned self serve breakfast. Enjoyed being able to visit the abbey and walk through the private grounds.
If you’re looking for a simple clean overnight stay and your self catering this is good value I recommend. It is a monastic location next to wye valley nhs rust as long as your comfortable with church bell ringing at fairly regular intervals.
Really surprised with it’s location the Abbey itself is stunning and we loved the bells peeling, the rooms were a brilliant base to start a visit to the area, the reception staff gave a warm welcome and could not have done more, yes there are no facilities like a bar restaurant but a kitchenette with fridge toaster etc table and chairs so we picked up some bits so no problem to us. We will be there again.
We had a late check in (out of staffed hours) and it could not have been easier. We made contact to make sure it was ok, on arrival we got access and our room key with no fuss. Located the room and it was all very fresh feeling and lovely. It being one of the hottest nights of the year and there no built in aircon (welcome to England), but the fan kept us cool and the whole set up was really good. Check out was very simple too.
Large clean room with crisp sheets on the bed. Both the bed and the pillows were too firm, resulting in limited sleep
I was convinced that continental breakfast was included when I booked the room. However the Expedia booking did not state that ,nor did the information sent to the Porters Lodge. The charge was though only £5 pp.
The room was super clean, it appeared to have been recently decorated, the carpets appeared new, the ensuite seemed new, and all was nice.
One thing I would say, as the room was facing the garden, there were a couple of spotlights on the front of the abbey/centre, and the window blind didn't fully cover the window, so the light came through that was the only negative thing i could think of
Room was fairly new and clean. A little too hot during the night but the window did open slightly. Just to note the room is part the church which we didn’t realise until we got there. Right next door the bells were ringing every 15 minutes on the evening, then started again at 8am and lasted longer in the morning to call for service (it was Sunday). I enjoyed them but just to note in case you were wanting a lie-in. There is no option for breakfast although the listing did state it would be available. Overall a nice stay for a reasonable price.
Room absolutely perfect, very clean - super location.
Continental breakfast provided as self service but no indication as to where it was. Luckily I found someone who was able to show me as it was in another part of the building with no signage, otherwise I wouldn’t have found it.
Limited reception facilities, no one there when I left so unsure how to pay, in the end I left cash with a lady who assisted with the Abbey.
Would definitely stay again, but I bit more direction/guidance would have been really helpful.
Very good value for money stay just outside Hereford. Quirky location but we loved the sound of bells etc. large twin room. Comfortable stay and good shower. If staying with children watch that windows open right out. Easy check in system. Would stay again
A fabulous place to stay and great value. The rooms were spotless, the bedding particularly good and the bathroom spacious with a great shower. The welcome was clear and helpful. Just a great stay at a lovely site with superb views.
