I stayed in Heidelberg for 6 days and this is a perfect location in between tourist and local areas. Easy to access via tram/train/bus, and supermarkets and restaurants are all within walking distance. The room is in classic homey design, clean and well equipped with basic cooking equipment, also a floor fan is provided. The check-in instructions are very clear and easy, and I’m always greeted by friendly staff time to time.

The room was nothing fancy, but fine, and in a good location near the Old Town. I didn’t use the kitchen except for the fridge, as space was quite small and only one pot was provided. Honestly, just a microwave would be more convenient than the burners, as there’s not much room to prep. The single bed was very soft, as was the pillow, so sleep quality wasn’t great. That might be personal preference, though. It really is more apartment than hotel, so know that going in. No front desk staff later in the day. Totally fine if you’re an independent traveller.

Great location near main transit station and historic Old Town. Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance and laundromat about 10 minute walk from the hotel.

I’ve stayed at the GuestHouse Heidelberg many times, and for years have always returned there whenever I wanted to visit Heidelberg. The rooms are clean, convenient, and spacious, and the property is ideally located. What’s more, the staff is both helpful and knowledgeable, and it’s relatively inexpensive.

Great for Xmas Markets

Great location for visiting the Xmas markets. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. Simpe breakfast in the morning was tasty. We couldn't have been happier with our choice.

It is within walking distance from the Old Town and if you enjoy walking, it is not too far from the castle. There is no concierge. We lost something and needed to get some info and there was no one there to help. Easy in/out.
