Same room as last year. Very noisy from road at front. Found staff had opened window a foot behind closed curtain! Bedside light too dim to read by. Comfy bed. Food excellent bed no room left in restaurant for booked guests - time arrived restaurant already full. Will be back next year as close to Ardingly College meeting venue.

It is a quaint little pub with bed and breakfast. The room was quite dated but comfortable. It was clean. The staff were friendly and efficient Breakfast was very good. We did not use the bar facilities.

Room # 7. Wallpaper hanging off the wall. Door handle needs a tighten up, same for toilet roll holder. Set up for Tea and Coffee needs a revamp. Electricity plugs a bit low for old people with bad backs. Dinner and Breakfast was great. Hot and tasty. I loved the Broccoli and Blue Cheese Soup.

The rooms and bathrooms are somewhat dated, but the service and attention to detail from the staff was impeccable. They were extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel was clean, had plenty of parking. Although the hotel is above a pub and on a fairly busy road, the was no noise to disturb our sleep. I would recommend this for a short trip or getaway.

The Bent Arms was rather quirky and reminded me of my stay at a hotel in an olde fishing village on the south coast many years ago!! The timbers being used here in the bar and restaurant resemble being that from olde wooden sailing ships with the notches very visible! I meant to ask but forgot!? The stairs to the rooms were very narrow and steep, so not for those with disabilities! However, the facilities, the grounds, Restaurant and staff were excellent and obligingly friendly!! DEFINITELY worth a visit!! The Town itself also!!!

Basic clean room. Friendly staff and locals, great selection of food and drinks. Breakfast starts at 8 during the week which is a bit late for me. Take ear plugs for room on the road.

The pub area is great with a very large garden and FREE car park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good but if you fancy something else, there is an Italian next door or a couple of other restaurants a 2 minute walk. Room 2 was dated but very clean and large. The double bed was incredibly comfortable and my personal opinion more comfortable than the chain PI beds. The lining was spotless, soft, and very fresh smelling. The pillows were also perfect. The same goes for the crisp, soft white towels. There was just 1 criticism with the room and that was the shower. It took around 5 mins for the hot water to come through,but when it did it was perfect. Now I'm a large guy and the shower cubicle was more than big enough for me. The really good thing about the shower was not having to do hand stands to wash soap from lower areas. Had a very pleasant suprise when I went out 1st thing, and that was a very welcome packed lunch left by my door as I was unable to get the included breakfast due to leaving early. Value for money was more than achieved here and I would highly recommend to stay here. I know I will again for next year's show.

The pub is lovely, as is the people who work there. Breakfast great. The rooms were clean, but extremely hot. We asked for a fan but the two (!) they had were unfortunately for us busy in other rooms.

Very disappointed. The bed was very lumpy, the bedroom carpet was sticky, if you went to the toilet in the night and turned the bathroom light on people could see you from the beer garden

A great old pub with rooms in the heart of the charming village of Lindfield. About a 10 minute drive by taxi or bus from Haywards Heath station. We had dinner at the pub the first night and it was excellent and good value for money we thought. We stayed two nights and a good breakfast was included the next morning. All though the pub looks like you would expect an old worldy English village pub to look like the rooms upstairs are pretty basic in contrast. You have everything you need for a night's stay but the rooms/bathrooms could use an upgrade. It would be great if they could look and feel a bit more like the rest of the pub. Due to the buildings age not an easy thing to do but it would definitely bring more to the experience. The staff were great. All super friendly and willing to help when they can. Couldn't have asked for more really.

The location and hotel itself is quaint and nice. However, the room wasn’t very good. Our bedroom (3) had a small window with no curtain so it got light early and woke you up as it was high up in front of you. The matress was lumpy and leaned to one side and very uncomfortable as were the pillows. I didnt get a good night sleep added to the light coming in. The bathroom window was frosted on the bottom half but top half wasnt so fairly comical as you stood up a step to get to the sink and toilet. Light cord needs to be longer. The bath although amusing to see a blancmange Shanks suit the bath was very worn you could see and requires replacing. Coffee facilities and staff all good and helpful. We had an average early start so missed out on breakfast and checking out we couldnt get in reception to leave the key.
