“The hotelier at reception placed us in a really stunning 2 bedroom apartment. It was up on the top floor, completely exposed to the sparkling waters of the beach directly across the road. The front of the apartment had large bi-fold doors which opened completely out to the roomy sunny balcony. We could see the Waitangi grounds while sitting relaxing with a glass of bubbly. “A great apartment overlooking the water and sunset and very handy to have a washing machine/dryer even though it took hours to complete a cycle. We enjoyed cooking. We loved exploring Russell and surroundings so worth taking the car ferry from Opua (3km away) We were disappointed to discover the winery on way to Russell was closed even though advice was it was open on Wednesdays. Keri Keri is also worth a visit and a short drive north. Piahia though was the perfect place to stay.”

“Great location, right on the main drag. Close to ammenities, right on the beach. Room very, very, clean. Host very easy to talk to, extremely friendly. A couple of gifts were left in the fridge upon our arrival, nice surprise! Night life activities not far away. Nice and private accommodations. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Gas station, grocery store just around the corner. Would definitely book here again. Highly recommended. A happy Canadian!”
