The on-line photos of this hotel and the room are miss-leading. I failed to read the reviews of this hotel before booking. If I had, I would have never booked it. It was late, we were tired and due to seasonal popularity in the area and a 3 day holiday weekend, lodging was difficult to find. This room was advertised as a deluxe suite, but it was not deluxe and not a suite, it was just an old room! was certainly NOT worth nearly $300.00/night!!!
The management was friendly and a secure basement parking garage was available, but hotel is old and has not been maintained.
Upon entering the room, we actually considered sleeping in our SUV. The room was dingey, worn and very, very smelly!!! The carpeting was filthy, stained and had not been cleaned in forever! To mask the stench, my guess is that the management sprayed some sort of air freshener, but it was "over the top" and only made it worse. My wife and I didn't want to touch any surfaces! Pillows appeared to be stained under the pillow cases... fortunately, we travel with our own and didn't use them. Towels were clean, but didn't smell "fresh"... same with the bed linens. In the small refrigerator, the freezer was almost completely frozen, leaving no room for our travel freezer packs.
Breakfast was included, but we didn't want to stay and eat, we just wanted out. Hell, we didn't even take the free water bottles.
I recommend avoiding staying in this hotel at any cost!
