Check-in was very slow due to only one person managing the front desk. Our air conditioner was old and so noisy that it was hard to sleep. We unplugged the refrigerator due to a loud clanking noise. The breakfast was bare minimum and the coffee was bad with no decaf option. Even though it is obviously an outdated hotel and currently under renovation, we were pleased that it at least appeared to be clean.

The property is recently under new management, any I can see that they are working very hard to renovate and clean. Unfortunately, it's just not yet in an acceptable state to stay. Biggest issue... Roaches in the bathroom. That was the deal breaker, but vending and laundry were also all broken, and the room was pretty shabby, with crumbling plaster and mold in the bathroom. Staff was very professional and friendly, and I do hope they can succeed at rehabilitating the hotel, but I wouldn't consider staying until it's finished.

I stop here every time I travel by car to visit my parents. This place is not only affordable, but is maintained well and safe for solo travelers! I'm always happy to stop by. They even accommodated my hamster during my previous stay! (He traveled with me for the holidays :) haha) Love this place!!
