“The staff were lovely and couldn't have been better. Our room had a bathroom across the hall which opened with a key. A little strange and not great for a 3am wee. We ate here and the food was ok.”

“Lovely old building well maintained. Despite its age modern inside, good air conditioning and modern en-suite, restaurant service excellent food reasonably good but I think overpriced. No complaints about this hotel.”

“The shower didn’t work in my room, I tried to get it working for 10 minutes but no joy. I told the receptionist as I left and she said I must have been doing it wrong because it definitely works. I didn’t want to argue with her as she clearly just wanted to be right. Other than that the hotel is fine but could do with updating.”

“It was a perfect stay! The staff were lovely, the room was great and being able to use the spa was amazing. Will definitely stay again!”

“Claire was very welcoming. The room was spacious and clean with a view of the beautiful garden. She did a typical English breakfast which was delicious with fresh fruit and other goodies. I would recommend.”

“Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey.”

“Would not recommend if you would like a good nights sleep. Location good, amenities decent, however the walls and floor must be paper thin as you can hear everything from the guests next to and above you! Booked 4 nights and left after 3 as was not getting any sleep, apparently we had different guests above us every night and you could hear them banging and moving around till 2am then again at 6am. Messaged host who came back to us after 4 hours then did not reply to further messages. That...
