“We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. Overall, excellent value for money!”

“Absolutely do NOT RECOMMEND! Do not book! It says on the booking description please contact property if check in is after 10pm, tried calling all day- got through at 6pm as their ‘phone lines were down’ to be told - no late check in! Refund not given! Was booked as a wedding present for bride n groom on their wedding night!”

“We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...

“Always a fantastic stay at this lovely pub. Manager is so friendly and helpful. We have eaten here the two times we have stayed and the food is also really good, with fantastic service. Rooms are characterful, clean and lovely and quiet for sleeping. Beautiful location in a very pretty village - a wonderful base for exploring this lovely part of Lancashire.”
