So it was the cheapest hotel in and around Glasgow so we booked it. It advertised check in from 1400 onwards, and didnt say there was a time you couldnt check in afterwards with that. We had a day out, train was due back into Glasgow at 2143, got back around 2200, got a train to Hamilton West, walked to hotel, got there around 11, and we saw it was locked with no way in. We then scoured the email that we got, only to see in the wall of text that max check in was 9pm, which in my opinion should have been advertised with the 1400 earliest check in time, and for people with eyesight issues, and especially not being able to read a lot of text, its just so annoying how to actually find a hotel for under £100, we had to get a 1h30m coach to Carlisle, then had to scramble for 20 mins in the cold to find a taxi, for us to get there, when I have fatigue issues, not happy, please in future say the time check in ends.

A strangely located budget hotel; the room itself is good but location above a pub is awkward in the evening

It was all over good but hotel was above the bar which was noisy at night and unpleasant for family stay. Water kittle was not cleaned properly. Towels were not sufficient. Main thing is hotel front desk was another side of the road in an Indian restaurant and restaurant get closed after 8 or 9 pm and no intercom in rooms . It was literally horrifying after getting dark.

Very disappointing stay Cold unfriendly welcome Nowhere to park Tv did not work properly Bed very hard and uncomfortable And to top it all, no sleep due to the live music until 1am banging doors and shouting customers leaving the pub.

Ideal as a stop off point for travelling. Not picturesque in location but easy to access from the A74. A pleasant night's stay.

Sadly this was going to be 4 star but things took a turn for the worse on Friday. The room is large, clean and the bathroom is well appointed. Location is about 15 minute walk from station with direct trains to Glasgow Central Station. Seemed ideal for us for a 3 night stay. The room is directly above pub and Friday night is Karaoke which is extremely loud and the bass notes vibrations can be felt. This goes on till 1am. The owner is aware of the effect on the guests but chooses not to do anything as can be found from others reviews. If the music stopped at 11pm that would suffice for most guests I would suggest. I write this whilst sitting in the room on Saturday night at 11pm and there is another karaoke whilst the people in the bar wait for Scotland's World Cup kick off at 2am. Looks like the next sleep I will have will be on the train home tomorrow. Maybe just bad timing but the pub does advertise other events.

Shower in room 5 needs the tile grout bleached and cleaned properly. Also the room window is not sealed and locking properly. noise from traffic is constant as a result. All fine otherwise

Accommodation was relatively easy to find.. Booking in was unusual as I had to check in at the India restaurant apposite the accommodation. Staff very friendly. Room spacious and clean. Comfortable beds. Toilet clean and tidy. Yes/coffee facility available. A bit noisy during the evening with the pub being below the accommodation but not a major issue. Reasonable priced... Now that I know the setup .Yes Id probably stay again..

We enjoyed our stay - the room was large and spacious, however it would have been helpful to have a small fridge. We stayed for the week but the first night seemed to be karaoke night, so it was on the loud side until about midnight All in all the space was great

Provided a room which was comfortable at very reasonable cost. The only downside is the Kareoae in the Bar which goes on until midnight. But I took part !

A perfectly good stay. Good location for what we wanted and good price. Check in was a problem which with good comms should’ve been fine. So if you are staying - both parking and check-in are over the road in the “spice” restaurant. Our room was exactly the one in the picture. Basic, clean and did the job.

It was a nice ensuite room, it was clean but amenities were not good, TV was not working, Internet was slow. Although there were complementary tea and coffee was provided but the electric kettle was not working properly. Bathroom was clean and amenities were placed in. Overall it was not bad in such a low price.
