Also, every Sunday, my family and I would indulge in tea/coffee with fresh scones, cream and strawberry jam. The bar, then, was most charming. “This beautiful hotel is very grand and is still very classy. It is showing its age however, but we still had a wonderful experience, with my husband celebrating his birthday at dinner where the staff made his night very special. The staff are excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. ”

“The place is comfortable, linen clean, not a single noise only nature and birds, rooms clean and big and smelling fresh, room service perfect, very friendly staff and willing to help all the time, breakfast perfectly prepared, all in all it was good. ”

“Arrived on Friday afternoon and received excellent reception from the front desk.there was no toilet spray or any odour controlling mechanism in the bathroom room.left the room at 5am and came back at 12:30 pm.the room was cleaned but without towels,they were only replaced around 13:00.had an issue the aircon that sounded like a petrol fuelled generator which was attended to immediately.”

“We loved our stay at Kings Waldon. We wish Marike and Hannes all the best in all their endeavors. Walter and team were helpful and friendly. The views are magnificent, the gardens quite stunning. Our room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and dinners were good too. ”

“There was a bath without a screen instead of a shower. A large dead cockroach in the bathroom. Lights outside the bedroom window that were not switched off. Naked, exposed wiring where the switch for the bedside lamp should be ( I could have electrocuted myself reaching for the switch at night!). Very noisy water pipes from 3am. The bed was clean and comfortable but the roach had spoiled it all.”
