“The room smelled musty and all night long there was banging and noise as we were on the ground floor right next to reception area and entrance. Didnt notice how bad until we went to bed. At 211:90 pm, 1:00 am went to front desk to complain or change room but no one there. It was a terrible experience. Will not stay there again - it made it worse that we drove for 5 hours to get there to attend a funeral in the morning.”

“The history and outside appearance of the inn was impressive, unfortunatley the rooms definately did not have the wow factor for me. The Oundle suite bathroom was very tired in terms of furniture and building. The shower looked filthy and I didnt want to use it. It wouldnt take much to improve by cleaning the grout and re plastering. We paid £612 for a 3 night stay but the standard of the rooms do not reflect this price. “A delightful thatched inn overlooking village green. Lovely outside seating area. Good parking at rear of building. Very well presented room with AC ( Stamford) fresh milk and bottles of water in a small fridge, good lighting and power points Bathroom with shower and generous sized towels. Comfortable bed and pillows. A small sofa too well placed for watching tv. Food - dinner and breakfast options - good. Very welcoming and pleasant staff.”
