Amazing hotel. Near to the train station and the central part of harleem. Staff attentive, friendly and knowledgeable x We spent days out in different areas, harleem, Amsterdam, etc and within walking distance to the station. Hotel room was quirky and beautiful x clean and tidy. Staff definitely keep the place in great order. We had breakfast one day and plenty of choice, fresh food available and extra cooked options too. If we visit again would use this place as our base

Wonderful unique boutique hotel in haarlem. I would recommend haarlem/hotel staat as a base to visit amsterdam and vicinity. The hotel is less than 5 min walk from haarlem central train station and a pleasant 10 min stroll into the old haarlem town center. We had a room on the second floor which was very spacious and very quiet. Very good breakfast with plenty of choices. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

It’s a beautiful old school building turned into a hotel. Keep in mind there is no elevator, however, staff was there to help us with our luggage. The staff is very friendly and helpful and everything was clean. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. We would love to stay there again!

Very well located property with comfortable large bedrooms and excellent beds and showers. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The reception area facilities, with free coffee, tea and hot chocolate on demand, add a nice touch. We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet at night and the courtyard garden behind our room. Do give it a try!

This was our favourite hotel on our European trip. Great bed, bedding, shower, air con, black out blinds, water, little fridge, clean, hair dryer, pretty room…everything was perfect. You can request a shower that is more enclosed for privacy. Staff were lovely. Location is amazing. We were so happy to have our nights in Haarlem while exploring Amsterdam. It is a more quiet and chill. This hotel is located perfectly - 3 minutes to the train station to get to Amsterdam in about 15 minutes, but also a short walk to the main town which is gorgeous. There is a windmill! For the price we paid, we would have had a MUCH lower quality hotel in Amsterdam and would have been more than 15 minutes from city centre. I would stay here again over and over. Also the food in the restaurant was delicious! Book the Corrie ten Boom house while you are in Haarlem too!

Breakfast was good. Omelets can be cooked fresh on request and the array of juices, bread, cereals and fruit were more than enough for anyone. Rooms were decorated in individual styles. Number 3 had this huge steel breakfast bar in it. Not sure what it would be useful for in a bedroom, but it was there anyway.

Wonderful boutique hotel in a historic building with high ceilings and a welcoming atmosphere. Room was well appointed with a fantastic bed and good shower. We had a quick dinner at the restaurant, which offers a small menu. Food was very good, as was the breakfast. Staff was very friendly and location is perfect, on a quiet street in the city center near the train station and minutes walk from plenty of restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
