English We really enjoyed our three-night stay at this hotel in Yangzhou and would happily recommend it. The location is lovely and convenient: West Street is only about ten minutes away, and most of the places we wanted to visit were easy to reach—usually within five to fifteen minutes, often by Didi—and renting a scooter was also a simple option. Our room was spacious and clean, and we felt very comfortable there. The only small observation was that the bed was a little firm for our taste; perhaps it was simply a little harder than we are used to in Europe, and since many Chinese guests may prefer a firmer mattress, that would certainly explain it. So this is really more an observation than a complaint. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and they did their work very competently—always ready to answer our questions and kindly assist us with booking trips and excursions. We also enjoyed the restaurant very much: the dinner we had there one evening was excellent, and the breakfast was always very good as well. All in all, a very pleasant stay. 中文 我们在扬州这家酒店住了三晚，整体体验非常愉快，也很愿意推荐。酒店位置很好，出行很方便：到西街大约只要十分钟，去大多数想去的景点和活动地点都很中心，通常五到十五分钟就能到，打车也很方便，还可以租电动车。房间宽敞干净，住得很舒服。唯一的小小感受是床对我们来说稍微偏硬了一点；也许只是比我们在欧洲习惯的硬一些，而很多中国客人可能更喜欢偏硬的床垫，所以这也完全可以理解。因此这更像是一个小观察，而不是抱怨。工作人员一直很友善、乐于帮忙，而且工作非常专业、胜任，有问题时总是耐心解答，也热心地协助我们预订行程和出游。餐厅也让我们很满意：有一晚在那里用晚餐，味道很好，早餐也一直很不错。总的来说，是一次很舒心的入住体验。

Amazing couple days spent at this tranquil location in China. Ryan who communicated with us was most helpful in arranging pick up and drop off from station. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and made our trip effortless.

Wonderful hotel away from the hustle and bustle in Tuen, but close enough to walk to things. very well appointed rooms, beautiful views as advertised in the photos, with not blocked by other buildings, the beautiful gardens in front and access to the river walkways were a big plus, staff fluent in english, very good food in their hotel restaurant, (much better than offsite options). I spent three very relaxing days there during a busy first trip to China, doing a bit of tai chi. There were several other wellness and craft activities on offer.

Excellent stay

This is an excellent hotel for a getaway. Extremely helpful staff that goes all the way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. They will organize a car to pick you when you are unable to get a cab, prepare breakfast before the restaurant is open, help you on photo shooting.

Best hotel in China

Everything was perfect. Great restaurant, great location, great rooms and facilities, breathtaking scenery and most important of all; the most helpful staff I have ever experienced. It was literally like being welcomed into a family. They helped us book stuff, and even sent my wallet to another hotel with the mail when I forgot it in my room. Probably the biggest recommendation I have ever written :)

From the moment we arrived, Karlie made sure we felt welcome and comfortable. She was always ready to help us throughout our stay. The hotel had a wonderful blend of traditional charm and modern style. Renting an electric scooter provided by the hotel was easy and allowed us to explore the area at our own pace. We initially worried about getting around without a car, but many attractions are easily accessible by foot, bike, or scooter. The region offers a variety of tourist activities, yet still feels authentic and not overly commercialized. A highlight was the proximity to the evening river show. On one occasion, dinner was kindly prepared for us even after the restaurant kitchen had closed. We always felt well cared for and would not hesitate to book again for a future visit. We hope to come back some time in the future! Thank you Karlie.

Wonderful Views & Exceptional Customer Service

The Zen Garden is a hidden gem just outside of Yangshuo. The hotel itself was a little off the beaten path, but the staff was so accommodating it did not matter. We took a Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo and called the hotel when we were 1 hour away, and they arranged a car to pick us up. We went to the hotel to check in and drop off our luggage. The room was very spacious and put together well. All the furniture and decor seemed to be high quality, and there was a lot of attention detail. The air condition was fantastic, much better than other places we stayed in China. As mentioned in other reviews the hotel will arrange transportation to and from town for free, which makes the location not an issue. I would recommend planning for a pickup time and spot, as the late night staff did not speak as good of English and was a little difficult to coordinate. We rented scooters from the hotel for 60¥ per day and were able to see quite of few nearby sites. For our departure, the hotel arranged for a car to take us back to the Guilin North Railway Station for 350¥. Kimberly, one of the staff members that helped us out, was extremely helpful and had such a great personality. He gave us advice on where to go on the scooters and took care of most of the logistics for our transportation. This is how customer service should be.

The experience was quite distressing. The outdoor temperature approached 100 degrees with high humidity. After operating the air conditioner for over seven hours, the room's temperature remained at 95 degrees. My child and elderly parents were perspiring extensively. I politely requested assistance from the hotel staff. However, both the staff and the manager informed me that, being from the Western region, our physical bodies are naturally warmer than theirs. Despite several communications, no assistance or solutions were provided. My family and I endured significant discomfort. Subsequently, a fan was provided. The bathroom was filled with mold, and the room appeared to have been digitally altered in photographs. Other guests have also reported similar issues and have not received adequate support.
