Good location. Room clean and fairly comfortable and would consider staying again but on this occasion the overnight temperature dropped and the room was cold until the heating came on in the middle of the night.

Lovely, spacious room. Large, clean bathroom. Had everything we needed in a great location. It's an old building so plugs for chargers weren't very convenient but it was a tiny hassle that didn't overshadow our stay.

This is a quaint hotel on the Main Street of Guildford. It is a fairly old and creaky establishment but this, along with the delightful couple that run the hotel, add to its charm. My room was extremely spacious and well appointed. There is a good and popular restaurant downstairs and a rather surprising Cabaret/Bar called ‘Fallen Angel’ on site. I might recommend a room not close to or above the bar as there was a lot of “energy” coming from it. Don’t expect a Hilton experience. You are getting quirky British here. The village of Guildford is a good alternative to staying in central London if you want a more small town experience. The alleyways have great little cafes and establishments including great beers at a small craft beer place around the corner. It’s a lot more affordable than central London and it’s only a 35 minute train ride to Waterloo.

Staff were friendly, position was excellent. Unfortunately the central heating was incredibly noisy, together with an uncomfortable mattress and cheap foam pillows resulted in very poor quality sleep. The shower had very low pressure which made it difficult to wash. Room was quite sizeable it looked good and was clean. Just a shame that it was let down by saving money on bedding and lack of maintenance.

This is my second visit here, and I still find it excellent for shopping, dining, and walking. The rooms are a little bit challenging to access because the building is old, but it's worth the minor inconvenience. I hope to return soon.
