Excellent place for half way stop between North Scotland and Midlands clean and very restful good staff nothing to much trouble bar meals were brilliant would definitely stay again
Perfect for a one night stay, comfortable and clean room and easy parking. Limited menu for evening meal but reasonably priced and tasty. It seemed a little odd not offering a breakfast but was not a problem for us as we went elsewhere. Would stay again if travelling to Scotland.
Excellent value for money. Brilliant location, super parking. I have stayed here previously when under the old management. New owners are refurbishing and have only been open a few weeks. Like all new things, there's ongoing works which is great to see. It didn't impinge on my stay whatsoever and I would DEFINITELY stay here again. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff are the stand out customer experience for me.
This property was pretty much all that we needed for our stay.
Everything about it was perfect for us.
The room was exceptionally clean as were the public areas. From the moment of checking in until we left the whole visit was perfect.
The person at reception informed us that they had to only recently taken over the property and it was obvious that they are doing some fantastic upgrading work to the rooms as well as the public areas. It is a lovely venue and I would highly recommend it.
The Gables has only been open 2 weeks. We were met with a warm welcome. Our room was comfortable and most importantly clean. We had a meal for dinner. Quite affordable and basic food. Think this area needs some tweaking.
A most affordable stop over in Gretna.
My wife, myself & Poppy the whippet stay over for one night to shorten our journey from Lossiemouth - Scunthorpe, it was perfect and very dog friendly, food was good.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean room, nice bar. Only stayed one night as a stop-over on our way up North. Left feeling like we would be happy to stay for longer if we are ever in Gretna again
Outstanding customer service, amazingly friendly staff, extremely pet friendly, fabulous breakfast. In short, there's not enough superlatives to do the Gables Hotel justice. It will be our go to place to stay on trips between Scotland and England

A little tired and dated but clean and comfortable happy to stay again
A good hotel in an excellent location close to the motorway. Good dinner and breakfast. The room was in need of a little maintenance and updating but was quiet and comfortable. Good amounts of free parking.
Had a one night stay and was really nice. Room was a good size and had kettle with tea/coffee etc
We ate in the restaurant and food was well cooked and plenty.
The staff were really helpful and they helped my mum who needed a ramp at the front for a wheelchair that they set up for her.
Will visit again when up in the area
This hotel is a fantastic dog friendly hotel. The staff gave us and our dog such a warm welcome and were so helpful, friendly and hard working. It was wonderful that we could take our dog into the restaurant and had waitress service in the bar area for breakfast with our dog. The hotel is so conveniently close to the motorway but so quiet, really good for breaking the journey to or from the Scottish Highlands, we highly recommend especially to dog owners.
We had a lovely overnight stay with a seven and a one year old. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable, although the room looked a little bit tired. This in no way affected our stay though.
The staff were lovely and the breakfast was AMAZING!!!
There are shops within easy walking distance as well.
