The apartment is what we expected. The neighborhood had great restaurants in walking distance and was close to McGill which was perfect for us. With saying this, we were not aware that it was right across the street from a night club and the noise was in the street until 4am. We quickly got ear plugs which made it better but did not get a great sleep in the 4 nights there.

It’s a nice touch that they offer complimentary breakfast. However, the selection is quite limited (not even yogurt), and coffee is served in paper cups, which I wasn’t particularly fond of. The rooms look clean overall, but there are a few maintenance issues in the shower, bathroom, and ceilings that could use some attention or renewal. That said, our stay was very pleasant overall, and the staff did a great job. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The location is by far the strongest point, nearby tons of restaurants, the subway station and the downtown area. Having said this, I move now to the hotel itself: it's small which is good for me, that's convenient since I don't like too long going from my room to the street. The room is quirky: those 3 steps are funny, but can be certainly dangerous if distracted; the 2 showers in the huge bathroom are a nice feature (interesting when it comes to the full body window pointing to the bed), but the low water pressure is a big downer since 2 of their 3 modes are pretty much useless. The sink and the countertop around it is huge and comes pretty handy, I loved that (I hate it when I don't have an square inch to place my razor, for example, not the case here). The bed and pillows were comfortable and the curtains are really a blackout feature, so I slept really well without any noises coming from outside, that was great. The AC was very cold -- I tried playing around with the remote, but no luck. I didn't reach the staff for help, that's on me. The media entertainment system wasn't anything to write home about. Most of the channels are in French, which for a foreigner that only speaks its native language and English makes it difficult to find something enjoyable. Plus it doesn't support streaming, so I couldn't use my YouTube or other applications as I normally do when travelling. I overall give a 7.5 out of 10 because the price is very competitive.
